Bridgeview School of Fine ArtsDrawing, Painting, Composition. Classical Approach
Starting at the age of 12-13 students are transitioning to their teenage years. At this point they should be fully capable of understanding such complicated but fundamental ideas as three-dimensional form, linear and aerial (atmospheric) perspective, proportions, movement and gesture, design and rhythm, color theory. They work in a variety of media such as pencil, charcoal, pastels and acrylics tackling still life, portrait and landscape. Old Master copies are also practiced as a learning method behind both techniques and philosophies of painting.Tuition: $550 for 12 weeks of classes including all professional-grade materials.

Attention! The more advanced classes with Sasha Budayev and Varvara Agabekova are for Bridgeview students who have had years of studies with other instructors and have adequate drawing skills to enter a new stage. It is also open to students from specialized art high schools and possibly others, depending on their general level and natural talent. However, in most cases, students will be asked to start from still life and cast (sculpture) drawing to learn the more serious academic methods and techniques before they can transition to painting.
